weak blogging

so...my blogging has been lame lately. i make no apologies. it's been so weak, in fact, that i'm now resorting to a shameful update post. if you're either one of my usual readers, then you undoubtedly know that we're moving to houston towards the end of june. if you're not, you've accidentally stumbled upon my blog by googling something random like 'texas lent propaganda.' it's not that i haven't had anything to write about, i just haven't written about it. i suppose it's laziness, but an episode of scrubs is more appealing than blogging, lately. terry and i have initiated a book project. basically, the idea is to chronicle our homeless stories. some really cool things have happened over the past couple of months. but, that's another post. it (the book) will probably take years to compile because terry and i are both way too mellow to put a time frame around this.

i'll take this opportunity to say that i watched jordin sparks and chris brown perform a ridiculous pop song that someone wrote for them last night on american idol. i guess i hadn't realized how far 'the kid's' music had evolved from nirvana. i'm determined to make sure my kids are raised with good musical taste, but ali reminds me that almost everyone goes through 'the phase.' it should be noted that i'm rooting for jason castro (the dreadlocks guy).

back to the update. we'll be moving from the east coast soon and it's bitter-sweet. we've met some incredible people out here that have changed the way we view community, the east coast, and the world. we'll miss them dearly.
